Introduction
I am an Instructional Technology Specialist with a high degree of interest and understanding of technology. I desire to develop my thoughts and understanding through reflective pondering to better grow my effectiveness and utilization of technology for trainings, instruction, and implementation. 
I'm passionate about providing support and fostering the role of the instructional technology leader to guide the implementation process and longevity of its uses.

Providing Support

I provide support and guidance with technology experiences during and beyond the school day to integrate technologies into instructional programs. Collaborative relationships with teachers and members of the school community are the foundation in all my work. I am:
 
  • Effectively qualified and infusing technology and information literacy into the learning process. 
  • Passionate about igniting student curiosity and developing student competence in educational technologies. 
  • Experienced in collaborating with teachers to help students to become increasingly information literate, independent in their learning, and responsible digital citizens in their use of information and technology.

I believe the role of a Technology Coordinator/Technology Director is multifaceted and complex. However, one distinctive priority in my mind for a Tech Coordinator/TechDirector should grow all learners in the learning process by implementing appropriate and effective technologies that are conducive to the delivery of school approved curriculum, assessments, and activities for enriching the educational environment. 
 
Required Skills and Abilities of a Tech Coordinator/TechDirector
  • Must have knowledge and experience of technologies with technical skills in computer hardware, software, network, computer use, mobile device use, and learning management systems. 
  • Able to sustain and strong cybersecurity infrastructure for the district.
  • Must supervise all things related to technologies involving the implementation, maintenance, training, upgrades, policies and procedures, developing, innovations, budgeting, and purchasing of technologies. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate, direct, train, and lead stake holders toward 21stcentury learning.
  • Must be a visionary and foresee a world that doesn’t yet exist. 
  • Able to problem solve under pressure in an efficient manner
  • Must maintain an approachable, respectable, and personable demeaner with all stake holders.

​I had the privilege to intern at the Troy Areas School District’s IT Department overseeing a number of developments that served to grow my experiences and effectiveness as an Instructional Technology Specialist. During my interning, I assisted in the follow: 
  • Training development of the Mac Book Pilot program
  • Execution, distribution, and roll out of ipads for the upcoming school year
  • Inputted data into the E-Rate System technology budget
  • Assisted in the designing and rebranding of EATL Online Academy
  • ​Assisted in the creation and development of the new district website
  • Researched and gathered data from the district’s current LMS with the development of a training guide for the implementation of a new learning management system to used by Troy School District
